Changing my hardware settings in Application Options > Hardware to conservative (formerly set to performance).Ģ. when I try exiting a sketch to return to an individual part model (.ipt) OR an assembly model (.iam)ġ. NOTE: Same end result derives from all following problems Inventor freezes -displaying a (not responding) prompt to close the program or wait:Ģ. How can I tell if a file is corrupted when the file still opens and displays no errors? I cannot attach my files to this post as the project is protected by client/project confidentiality. So, I assume the problem is possibly a corrupt file in my current project (for whatever reason). Everything has worked file (on several different projects) up until recently. Now, exit from Design Review and open it again – now try and open the large file and it should open without any issues. Then select the Software (OpenGL) from the list.In the first section named View settings, next to Driver, click the dropdown menu.This will open the Options box, go along to the third tab called Model.Click on the big “ D” in the top left corner and then click on Options.So to change the settings, open up Design Review without opening any files. So to get around it, you just need to change the viewer to use software rather than hardware. There is a very simple fix to get around this problem and it is linked to the display driver in the computer you are using having problems in fully displaying the file. If you are using Autodesk Design Review 2013 then you may have come across an issue where when you try and open large files, the program crashes and then will throw a dialogue box at you wanting to submit the diagnostic information back to Autodesk.
